FinOps Maturity Self-Check

FinOps Capability Assessment (preview)

A deeper self-check against the FinOps Framework's full 22 Capabilities, not just its 4 Domains. Ratings here are saved separately from the Domain-level ratings on the Domain Overview tab.

Why this matters

This is still a preview: all 4 Domains now have real Capability-level questions, but there's no Capability-level action plan yet, and this wizard's ratings don't (yet) reconcile with the Domain-level assessment — a later update will connect the two.

Automatically pulling your Azure billing and usage data into one place, instead of manually checking the Azure portal or exporting spreadsheets.

Why it matters: You can't manage a cost you can't see reliably — if getting your own numbers takes manual effort, nobody does it often enough to catch problems early.

Assigning your Azure costs to the specific teams, projects, or clients responsible for them, using resource groups, tags, or naming conventions.

Why it matters: Without this, nobody is accountable for a cost they didn't know was theirs — and you can't fairly split a shared bill across departments or clients.

Turning raw Azure billing data into dashboards and reports that actually answer the questions your team and stakeholders ask.

Why it matters: Raw billing data is nearly unreadable on its own — without real reporting, every cost question becomes a one-off manual investigation instead of a quick self-serve answer.

Automatically catching unexpected cost spikes soon after they happen, instead of finding out weeks later when the bill arrives.

Why it matters: A runaway cost (a forgotten test resource, a misconfigured service) can spiral for weeks before a monthly bill review would ever catch it — early detection is the difference between a minor fix and a real budget surprise.
